Yellows land another striker

WARRINGTON Town have made their second striker signing in a week with the capture of Josh Hine.

Hine, 26, has spent the past 18 months with Salford City, who he joined from Chorley for an undisclosed fee in January 2016.

He had previously established himself as a regular goal scorer in the Evo-Stik Leagues at Skelmersdale United.

The former Southport man also had a brief spell on loan at Cantilever Park.

His capture follows hot on the heels of the arrival of experienced striker Tony Gray, announced on Thursday.

Club chairman, Toby Macormac, said: “Scoring goals was an issue we had for large parts of last season and so we have moved quickly to address this issue.

“Josh, like Tony, is a proven goal scorer at this level and we’re pleased to have got them both.”

The Yellows report back for pre-season duty on July 1.

Meanwhile, Michael Monaghan has left the club to join Trafford.
