Hunt for arsonists who started fires at Fearnhead and Latchford

FIREFIGHTERS are appealing for witnesses following two arson attacks involving trees at Fearnhead and garden waste at Latchford, Warrington.

The first incident involved trees being set on fire in Pasture Lane, Poulton with Fearnhead, Warrington, yesterday at 17.21.

Firefighters used a water backpack to put out a fire that had been started in some trees. The fire is believed to have been started deliberately.

The second incident took place at 17.56 where pile of garden waste was set on fire at the end of Thelwall Lane, Latchford.

Firefighters used a hose reel jet to put out the fire, which is believed to have been started deliberately. Anyone with any information on either incident is urged to call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
