WARRINGTON Town have signed experienced striker Tony Gray and handed a new deal to midfielder Sean Williams.

Gray, 33, arrives at Cantilever Park from Airbus UK in the Welsh Premier League, where he scored 10 goals last season.

A prolific goalscorer in the top two tiers of non-league football, Gray has played for Chester, Southport and Telford and has scored 42 goals in 92 appearances in the National League (formerly Football Conference).

During his time playing in Wales, he has also played in the Europa League (Qualifiers).

He has twice moved clubs for a transfee fee – joining Droylsden from Southport for £7k in 2008, and then moving from Chester to Telford for £9k in 2013.

Meanwhile, midfielder Sean Williams has committed his future to the club.

The 25-year-old, who also counts Telford amongst his former clubs, established himself as a key part of Paul Carden’s midfield last season since arriving in November.

Club Chairman, Toby Macormac, said: “Tony comes with a good goalscoring record and brings plenty of experience to the squad.

“Willo has been around the club for a good few months now and he will be an important part of the midfield set-up next season.”

Midfielder Lewis Codling has left the club, joining recently relegated Skelmersdale United.

The Yellows have also announced a pre-season Supporters Club meeting on Saturday July 1 (1.30pm) at the Warrington Town Sports & Social Club.

At the event, season ticket details will be announced, as well as the launch of the new kit and details on Supporters Club membership for the new season.

That will be followed by a question and answer session with club chairman Toby Macormac and manager Paul Carden.
