A NEW support group for carers has been launched at the Culcheth Centre, in Jackson Avenue.
WIRED Adult Carers Support is holding the meetings on the first Wednesday of each month, between 1-3pm
Workers and volunteers from WIRED will be at the meetings giving mutual support to other carers, so they don’t feel so isolated and their wellbeing is improved.
Conversations don’t always revolve around caring. Sessions can be lively, entertaining, thought provoking and stimulating. WIRED frequently invite speakers from other organisations such as Health Watch or the Fire Service to come along and offer information and advice.
Anyone feeling isolated in a caring role can be helped by WIRED support groups. The group is accessible by just going along or, if wishing to be buddied by an existing member of the group or met by one support worker, by calling 01925 633492 to speak to a Care Support Worker and arrange to meet at the group.
Other support groups are at:
TOWN CENTRE; 86 Sankey Street, Every Friday 11am – 3pm,
