Is pharmacy provision right for local people?

0

WARRINGTON Borough Council has launched a survey to find out if pharmacy provision across the borough is right for local people.
Residents can help inform the local Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA)- which is a mandatory requirement of local Health and Wellbeing Boards.
This document will help to ensure that local pharmacies are providing services and support that will benefit Warrington residents, both now and in the future.
The survey asks people about their use of pharmacy services in the last year, and also how they may prefer to access pharmacy services in the future.
Residents may wish to complete the survey themselves or, if a carer, to
complete the survey on behalf of the person they care for.
Dr Muna Abdel Aziz, Warrington’s director of public health, said: “The local pharmacy is often the first place people will turn to when they have a concern about their health or that of their family.
“This is why it is important we look into the needs of our population and how pharmacies can meet these needs.
“I would ask everyone to get involved and take a few minutes to respond to this survey – to help us shape the future of the service.”
The survey is anonymous and should only take a few minutes to complete.
Views can be given online at surveymonkey.co.uk/r/pnapatient2017.
Paper versions are available on request by calling 443 060.  (Monday to Friday between 9am – 4pm).
