Police launch appeal after cyclist seriously injured in Bridgefoot collision

POLICE are appealing for information after a cyclist was seriously injured during a collision on Bridgefoot, Warrington.

The incident took place shortly after 11am yesterday (Tuesday May 23).

The collision involved a red Vauxhall Vectra and a cyclist. As a result of the incident the road was temporarily closed.

The cyclist, a 58-year-old man from Warrington was taken to Aintree Hospital by air ambulance with serious injuries. He is described as being in a serious but stable condition.

Officers are currently investigating the collision and are appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed what happened or has seen anything significant to come forward.

Anyone with any information is urged to call Cheshire police on 101 quoting incident number 345 of 23 May. Information can also be left anonymously, via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
