FORMER Warrington Wolves’ winger Mark Forster is back in town helping fit out the new temporary market which is due to open later this summer.

The Wolves’ legend, who spent 20 seasons with his home town club, finishing his career in 2000, is enjoying being back in town, although he says working on the new market project is like “living in a gold fish bowl.”

Mark, who is site agent for the shop fitting for Warrington based Nationwide Retail Solutions (NRS) said: “It is great to be working back in Warrington and there is clearly a lot of interest in this new temporary market.

“It is like living in a gold fish bowl with the number of people looking in and taking an interest. People are stopping and asking questions about the development nearly all the time.”

Howley based NRS boss Derek Burleigh is equally pleased to be working on a local project. “It gives us great pride to be working on a project like this in our home town,” he said.

A team of between 30-40 people are working on the shop fit which is being carried out in such a way it can easily be changed when the temporary market, which will cover three floors, moves out after around two years.

Meanwhile Mark, who has travelled all over the country and abroad for work over the years has extra reason to be celebrating working back in Warrington – he and wife Gaynor will be celebrating their 30th wedding anniversary on June 6!

“That should get be some brownie points being home for our wedding anniversary,” added Mark.
