VANDALS are believed responsible for a fire near Sankey Valley Park, Warrington, last night.
The blaze was on land at the bottom of Longshaw Road, near to a burnt-out caravan.
Firefighters extinguished the fire with hand-held extinguishers.
The fire is believed to have been started deliberately and anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police on 101 or the anonymous Crimestoppers hot line on 0800 555 111.
