A TOWN centre nursery at Warrington is celebrating after retaining its “Outstanding” rating following a recent Ofsted inspection.
The Cheshire Day Nursery in Guardian Street scored “Outstanding” in all four areas: “Effectiveness of the Leadership and Management”, “Quality of Teaching, Learning and Assessment”, “Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare”, and “Outcomes for Children”.
Inspectors praised the “highly qualified and experienced… extremely kind and attentive staff”, “first-class partnerships with parents”, and also found that “all children are making rapid progress… they play and learn with purpose”.
“We are absolutely thrilled with Ofsted’s findings,” said Julie Mannering, who co-directs the nursery with her sister Brenda Burling. “We are particularly proud to have retained our ‘Outstanding’ status since our last inspection in 2013, and would like to congratulate and thank our management and staff who have worked so hard to maintain the best possible standards of care and learning at Guardian Street.
“We’re delighted the inspectors found that – as well as benefiting from ‘Outstanding’ teaching, learning and assessment – babies and young children thrive in our nurturing environment and receive regular reassurance, cuddles and personal care.”
