FIREFIGHTERS at Warrington were called out today to deal with a fire involving a bird hide.
The location was off Lapwing Lane, near the Moore Nature Reserve and the fire occurred shortly after 10.15am. A hose reel jet was used to extinguish the blaze.
In another incident, a fire crew went to Slutchers Lane, Warrington where a quantity of scrap timber was on fire.
Two hose reel jets were used to tackle the blaze, which is believed to have been started deliberately. Police are investigating.
