Charity to stage fundraising event

VOLUNTEERS from disability charity Scope’s Warrington branch are holding a two-day event, beginning on Good Friday, to raise awareness and money.
The tombola and table top sale will be outside Scope’s charity shop in the Cockhedge Centre – near Asda – from 9am to 5pm on the Friday and Saturday.
It will be the latest in a series of events the charity has staged in Warrington.  Shortly before Christmas, a then virtually unknown Mo Ardeniran – winner of BBC television’s “The Voice” contest –  appeared at an earlier event at the Cockhedge Centre.
Scope volunteer Michael Linford said: “We are hoping we may get Mo back to support us again – perhaps on Disability Awareness Day later this year.
“But obviously it may be more difficult for him now he is ‘The Voice’.
Scope’s aim is to make the UK a country where disabled people have the same opportunities as everyone else.
