A YOUNG boy from Grappenhall Heys has smashed his fundraising target to help Warrington Food Bank supply Easter eggs to children of less fortunate families.

Brodie Carr, aged 8 has been volunteering with the food bank. His target was to raise £200 but has managed to raise over £500 to ”bring a smile to the families faces and let them know other people care”.

He has managed to get almost 750 eggs with the donations and will also be taking some to the children’s ward at Warrington Hospital.

Brodie’s selfless act has been greatly appreciated by the food bank which is currently struggling.
