TWO Warrington men have been jailed for 22 months each for burglary offences in the town.

Gareth Blinston, 38, of Cronulla Drive, Great Sankey and Mark Ingle, 40, of Haryngton Avenue, Bewsey both pleaded guilty at Chester Crown Court  to one count of burglary and two counts of attempted burglary.

The court was told the burglary charge related to an incident on January 12 when the pair broke into a fast food outlet at Alban Retail Park, Warrington, and attempted to steal money from the till.

The two attempted burglaries occurred on Friday March 13 when Bliston and Ingle attempted to break into two houses in the Bewsey area of Warrington.

DC Stacey Nolan said: “This is a pleasing result and I hope it acts as a warning to other potential offenders.

“Burglary is a despicable crime and we are committed to doing all that we can to bring offenders to justice.”
