Time to back the Foundation for Peace to tackle acts of terror

WITHIN two days of the 24th anniversary of one Warrington’s darkest days our shores were once again darkened with a terrorist atrocity, highlighting again the importance of the work of the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation for Peace.

This charity specialises in educating youngsters about the benefits of living a peaceful co-existence, rather than taking up arms against those with differing views, or religions. Gary-2017

All children are born innocent and if educated properly they will not develop feelings of hatred towards their “enemies.”

It will clearly take time to educate future generations and time takes money and too often over the years, we have reported on the charity based at the peace centre having to ask for more funding to keep their important work ongoing.

I would urge our town’s MPs and others in influence to lobby the government and any other relevant funding bodies to make sure this valuable facility can continue its good work, so one day these acts of terror will hopefully become a distant memory.
