Police appeal after Grappenhall burglary

POLICE today appealed for information following a burglary at an address in Church Lane, Grappenhall.
Sometime between 1.30pm and 3pm on March 21 thieves broke into the house stealing jewellery and watches, a safe and a white Peugeot 208 which had been parked in the drive. The car was later found abandoned near to the junction of Church Lane and Stockton Lane.
DC Neil Radley said: “The offenders ransacked the house and stole a large quantity of sentimental jewellery and watches, which has caused the victims great distress.
“I’d urge anyone with information or who has been offered items in unusual circumstances to contact police.
“We are making a number of lines of enquiry, but we need your help. Did you see any suspicious activity in the area of Church Lane before the offence took place? Did you see the anyone getting out of the white Peugeot 208 which was abandoned at the junction of Church Lane and Stockton Lane and maybe getting into another vehicle?
“If you saw anything or have any information that might help us with our enquiries I’d urge you to contact me on 101.”
