A MAN found in possession of a knife was arrested at Boots, at the Gemini Centre, Warrington, on suspicion of theft.
He is alleged to have stolen fragrance worth £350 from the store.
Another man was believed to be involved in the offence but manage to slip away.
It was after the first man was searched that he was found to be in possession of a “bladed article”, police say.

Why when someone is found in possession of a knife/bladed item is it often reported by press and police that they are ‘alleged’ to have been. Seems pretty straight forward to me…if it’s on their person and in their possession then they ARE carrying one.
