Police dog helps catch knifeman who robbed elderly couple

A POLICE dog helped track down a man who entered an elderly couple’s home at Great Sankey and robbed them at knife point.

The 25-year-old offender was successfully tracked down by Police Dog Thor and was found in possession of items stolen during the burglary.

The male had entered a property of an elderly couple, threatened them with knife and stole various items.

He has been interviewed, charged with aggravated burglary and remanded to court.
