Cannabis plants dumped and set alight

A LARGE number of cannabis plants were set alight after apparently being dumped under a bridge near Warrington.
Fire crews from Frodsham were called to the swing bridge at Sutton Weaver when the blaze was discovered in the early hours of today.
The plants – covering an area of about five metres square – were well alight and firefighters tackled the blaze using a hose reel jet and then called in police who are investigating.
