POLICE have released a fresh image of missing Warrington man Marcus Shaw, who was last seen in Lymm having his head shaved, to help locate him.

The picture shows Marcus from Orford in a Lymm barbers shop, where he had his head shaved.
Marcus, aged 43, from Warrington was reported missing to Cheshire Police on Saturday 14 January.

He was last seen walking along High Legh Road at 16:30 on the same day, heading in the direction of the M56 bridge.

Officers have now released the most recent image available of Marcus captured on CCTV at a barber shop in the centre of Lymm which he visited a short time before he was reported missing.

His daughter Lucy Bedford has launched an appeal via social media which has attracted thousands of shares.

She posted: “My dad had his haircut in Lymm on Saturday – he’s had it all shaved off so description has slightly changed.”

Father of four Marcus, who has three other young daughters and recently passed a HGV course, is described as white, 6ft in height, of a stocky build, with blue eyes and tattoos on both his arms.

Inspector Mark Gammage said: “It has now been three days since Marcus was last seen so we are obviously extremely worried about him.

“Our officers are continuing to search for him with help from NPAS, the dog unit, underwater search teams, specialist search team from Merseyside Fire and Rescue and volunteers from the Cheshire Search and Rescue team.

“Although our focus has been in the Lymm area, Marcus is an experienced lorry driver who knows the country’s road networks so it is possible he could be anywhere.

“I urge anyone who believes that they may have seen Marcus, or anyone matching his description, to contact us on 101 quoting incident number 817 of 14 January.

“I’d also like to appeal directly to Marcus himself to make contact with us and let us know that he is safe and well.”
