Jogger robbed in Warrington town centre

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was robbed while out jogging in Warrington town centre.

The incident took place on Monday 9 January at around 11pm.

The victim, a 35-year-old local man, was jogging along Bold Street by the junction of Museum Street, when he was approached by two men who threatened him demanding his watch. The offenders stole the watch and then fled the scene in the direction of Sankey Street.

One of the offenders is described as white, around 5’ 7” tall, of stocky build and believed to have a local accent. He was wearing a grey hooded top with the hood over his head and dark jeans.

The other man was described as white, around 5’ 7” tall and of slim to medium build. He was wearing a dark hooded top with the hood over his head and dark trousers.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information that could help officers with their enquiries is urged to call Cheshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 294 of 10 January 2017.
