Man assaulted – with a bag of chips

A MAN was arrested in a takeaway shop at Warrington – after allegedly assaulting a member of staff with a bag of chips.
The incident was in Bridge Street shortly after 11pm last night.
Police say the offender assaulted a member of staff in the takeaway by “launching” his chips at him.
He then left the premises only to return  to strike the staff member in the face with his fist.
However police were present when the second incident occurred and the man was arrested.
