Memory Café for people living with dementia

0

PEOPLE and their families living with dementia are invited to experience a special Memory Café based in Warrington run by local charity MacIntyre.

The MacIntyre Community Memory Café is a fun, welcoming and relaxing environment for people to take part in social activities, make new friends and enjoy fantastic cake and cups of tea and coffee.

The Café is open to everyone; people living with dementia, those caring for someone that is, friends, families, and those that are just curious to find out more.

MacIntyre established the Community Memory Café in July last year so that anyone, whether they are living with dementia or not, can come along to a friendly and inviting setting, feel safe and have a good experience.

The Café runs on the last Friday of every month from 11am until 1pm. Each month, the Café will have a different theme and activity. Booking isn’t required, and it costs just £2.50 to attend which includes a hot drink and cake.

The 2017 Memory Cafés will run on the following dates:
27th January, 24th February, 31st March, 28th April, 26th May, 30th June, 28th July, 25th August, 29th September, 27th October and 24th November.

You can find the Memory Café in The Old School Dining Room, Fairfield and Howley Community Centre, Warrington, WA1 3AJ.
