PLANNING bosses at Warrington have thrown out proposals for a three-bedroomed detached house in the grounds of an existing house in London Road, Appleton.
The borough’s development management committee refused permission for the scheme even though their officers recommended it be approved.
Appleton Parish Council had strongly opposed the scheme on the grounds it would involve over-development of the site.
There were also objections from neighbours.
Although there is a Grade 2 listed building nearby, it would be screened from the new building by the existing house, officers had argued.
