Distraction burglars target elderly woman at Lymm

POLICE are warning people to be on their guard against distraction burglaries and rogue traders after an elderly woman at Lymm had a large quantity of cash stolen.

Earlier this week three men knocked at the door of the vulnerable elderly woman in Lymm posing as workmen.

Once inside the property it is believed they have stolen a large amount of cash from the woman.

Anyone with information about rogue traders is urged to contact Cheshire Police on 101 or 999 if there is a crime in progress.

Alternatively information can be left anonymously via Crime Stoppers 0800 555 111.
