Reunion of footballers of 40 years ago

A REUNION of footballers who formerly played for the Bull’s Head FC, the Star FC and, latterly, The Dingle FC, Lymm was held at the Bull’s Head.
Around 50 former players and their partners attended the event hosted by current landlord and landlady John and Gloria.
The reunion was based  on photographs on the tap room wall at The Bull’s Head and it took several months to track down the people in the pictures.
Alth0ugh many are still in Lymm or Warrington, others came from as far afield as Nuneaton, York, Wales and Ipswich.
The evening was voted a huge success, with team-mates from up to 40 years ago meeting up to exchange memories and stories of events on and off the field.
