Planning underway for 10th Stockton Heath Festival

PLANNING is well under way for next year’s Stockton Heath Festival which will be held from Thursday June 29 to Sunday, July 2, 2017.

Festival Director, David Craggs said: “Next year’s Festival will be the 10th so we want to make it extra special for the people of Stockton Heath and surrounding areas.There will be lots of events for everyone to enjoy.”

Events Organiser, Andrew Renshaw, has released a sneak preview of some of the events planned for the Festival.

He said: “The Festival starts with a concert by the ‘Warrington Male Voice Choir’ in St Thomas’ church on the Thursday evening. Friday sees a concert by ‘The Sounds of Simon’, (a 5 piece Simon and Garfunkel tribute act) in the Festival Marquee. Popular local band ‘The Covertones’ will be playing in the Festival Marquee on Saturday evening and the Illyria Theatre Company will be presenting a performance of Shakespeare’s ‘Comedy of Errors’ at the Grappenhall Heys  Walled Garden. The Festival ends with a show from the 8-piece band ‘Motown Gold’, in the Festival marquee.

“There will be lots of entertainment and activities for all ages on the Festival Field on the Saturday and Sunday. Details of more Festival events will announced later.”
