WARRINGTON-based Stuart Canvas has secured a partnership agreement with one of the biggest names in world cricket.
The Woolston company, a leading provider of sports ground and industrial covers, has struck a deal with Gray-Nicolls to jointly promote and support cricket related products worldwide.
Stuart Canvas will become the ground equipment partner of Gray-Nicolls and Gray-Nicolls become Stuart Canvas’ clothing partner in cricket.
The strategic partnership will see both companies work in partnership to promote and sell each other’s cricket products through their various channels both on and off-line, including the company’s websites and brochures.  Both businesses will also share customer contacts and work more closely together on marketing and promotions across schools, clubs or counties.
Edward Stoddart, chief executive officer of Stuart Canvas, said: “There’s clearly great synergy between the two brands and it was logical to partner in this way.  We’re excited to be partnering with this iconic cricket brand and for us to both take the opportunity to extend our products and services into new areas.  This, along with other exciting projects in the pipeline, will help us build and maintain lasting relationships with customers across the globe.”
As part of the agreement Stuart Canvas employees visiting customers will wear Gray-Nicolls clothing and the companies will share marketing opportunities and, where appropriate, co-branding on covers, cages and scoreboards.
Gray-Nicolls is one of the world’s leading cricket brand, based in Robertsbridge since 1876 with a unique pedigree of innovative and high quality products.  Recently appointed as the official equipment supplier to ICC, Gray-Nicolls has long been the choice of many of the world’s leading players from WG Grace to Alastair Cook.
