Festive fun in Pet Place

BENTS Garden & Home has planned some festive fun for pets and pooches in the run up to Christmas.

Bents is kicking things off mext Thursday, ovember 24, with a Festive Pet Selfie competition and is inviting dog owners to visit The Pet Place to take a Christmas selfie and post it to Bents Facebook page using the #PawsForASelfie. The selfie area will be stocked with festive pet wear and will be open for the competition until Sunday, November 27 at 6 pm.

Bents’ team from The Pet Place will choose the lucky winner, who will receive a Scruffs Hilton Orthopaedic Dog Bed, on Monday, November 28.

The selfie area will continue to be the place for all things festive as the RSPCA launch their Pledge Tree on Tuesday, November 29. The Warrington, Halton and St Helens branch of the RSPCA is Bents’ dedicated pet charity and to celebrate the partnership’s first Christmas together, the Pledge Tree will be a focal point for donations.

The tree will be in situ until Friday, December 23, when all pledges will be collected by the RSPCA and a final total announced. In addition to monetary pledges the charity is asking for people to think about how they could personally help the cause by donating their time during 2017.

A return visit from Pugalugs completes the festive season in The Pet Place with author Jessica Parish and two of the stars of the Pugalugs children’s book series returning on Wednesday, December 21. Jessica will be joined by Pugalugs and his friend Dug and will read extracts from her books, answer any questions and sign copies of the books which will be available to purchase on the day.
