Santa Claus is coming to Warrington Collegiate

WARRINGTON Collegiate is gearing up to spread some early festive cheer with its very own Christmas Fair.

The event will include stalls selling a variety of personalised gifts, tasty treats and – most importantly – a visit from Santa Claus himself.

The highly-anticipated event, which takes place on Saturday 26th November, 10am – 2pm, will give families the chance to explore the Winwick Road campus and get involved with a range of different activities.

A number of local businesses have already signed up to the event, including those selling Christmas wreaths, garden ornaments, baked goods, food and drink and up-cycled furniture.

The College’s fabulous hair and beauty salons will be open on the day for visitors, offering treatments including hands and arm massages, hair ups and Christmas make-up.

Those with a sweet tooth can pop into Buckley’s restaurant for a spot of Afternoon Tea, and children can visit Santa at his grotto.

There will be a number of raffles and tombolas on the day, with proceeds going to the College’s chosen charity, St Rocco’s Hospice.

The College’s curriculum teams will also be on hand to speak to future students about the fantastic range of courses and Apprenticeships available, while also getting involved in the day’s festivities.

Public Services students will be demonstrating their map reading skills when they take over the College Tour, transforming it into a Christmas-themed treasure hunt.
Motor Vehicle will be helping visitors prepare their car for winter, while Aviation students will be taking people on a “flight” to Lapland.

Performing Arts students will be giving a sneak preview of their upcoming performance of Aladdin, with tickets available to buy on the day.

Sport will be teaming up with Electrical as they attempt to keep the Christmas tree lit by cycling, and English & Maths students will be working with Childcare to help young visitors send their letters to Santa.

Our Higher Education team will be present on the day to talk about Warrington Collegiate’s incredible range of HE and Professional Courses.

Visitors will be able to find out more about our new list of courses, with a preview available of our NEW Adult Winter Guide, and the College’s Principal, Nichola Newton, will be giving a presentation to parents of Year 11 and Year 10 students every 30 minutes throughout the day.

No matter what your age or interest, there will be something for all the family.

So come on down to Warrington Collegiate’s Christmas Fair Open Day on Saturday 26th November, 10am – 2pm.

If you would like to book a stall, there are a few spaces remaining. Email [email protected] or call 01925 494351 for more information.
