A new book outlining ‘140 years of the Wires’ has been published by Warrington Wolves’ Finance Director Neil Dowson.
It tells the story of the Wires to Wolves and is the Official Illustrated History of Warrington Wolves from the beginning.
The book contains many unseen photographs from the archives and many more taken over the past 60 years by some of the best rugby league photographers.
Eddie Whitham, who continues to take pictures for warrington-worldwide took his first photographs of the ‘Wire’ in 1957.
Eddie Fuller covered the Wires for over 40 years and Bob Brough who has spent the last 12 years photographing the ‘Wire’ while past players chairman George Thornton has been connected with club for over 40 years.
