PEOPLE across Warrington are being urged to ‘fill for the fallen’ and come together at the Parr Hall on November 6, to remember those who lost their lives in various conflicts to mark the Centenary of World War 1.
‘We will remember them’ Festival of Remembrance 2016 is being staged by Warrington Male Voice Choir, in association with The Royal British Legion.
Starting at 6.30pm, the evening will feature Warrington Male Voice Choir and The Combined Bands of The Lancashire Artillery and The Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment, an audience sing-along, a Service of Remembrance and Reflection led by The Rector of Warrington, St Elphin’s The Revd. Paul Wilson and will be hosted by Bob Williams.
Proceeds from the evening will go to the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal 2016.
George Hill, Vice-Chairman of Warrington Male Voice Choir said, “It would be a fitting tribute to the fallen if we could fill the Parr Hall on 6 November for an evening that, as well as being both enjoyable and emotional, will also help raise much needed funds for the Poppy Appeal 2016. It would also be great if people would help promote the event by using the hashtag #fill4thefallen on social media”.
