INVESTIGATIONS are ongoing into the tragic death of 16-year-old Bridgewater High School student Louis Anderson who suffered serious injuries while riding a scooter on Saturday.

Tributes have been paid at his school.

Principal Tim Long said: “We are deeply saddened to hear about the tragic death of Louis Anderson. Our thoughts and condolences go out to his family and friends, in these most difficult of times.

“Our Upper School Headteacher, Keiron Powell, has said “Louis was a popular student whose personality lit up the school. His charm and charisma were endless and he would never have been seen without a friend by his side. His tragic and early death leaves many grieving. Our thoughts and condolences remain, as ever, with his family and friends.”

Louis was taken to Aintree Hospital following the incident near the roundabout on Forest Way at Sankey Bridges, Warrington, at around 3.20pm last Saturday.

Police don’t believe any other vehicle or person was involved in the incident but would like to hear from anyone who thinks they may have seen Louis riding the scooter prior to the incident.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 580 of 23/10/2016. Information can also be reported anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
