Police dog helps sniff out burglary suspect

A police dog helped sniff out a burglary suspect on Lythgoes Lane, Warrington during the early hours of today.

This was followed vehicle failing to stop for him  a short pursuit that ended on Lythgoes Lane. Numerous officers and the keen nose of a police dog resulted in a cell being filled.

The suspect is now helping police with their inquiries.

In another incident a male was arrested on Sankey Street, Warrington, for possessing an offnesive weapon.

It was alleged that the male had a lock knife. He also refused to provide details but his identity was cleared up by using a Livescan fingerprint machine.
