Work set to start on mural celebrating Warrington’s heritage

WORK is set to start on a giant mural on the side of one of Warrington’s most iconic buildings celebrating the town’s heritage and culture.

Children as young as eight who act as carers for their loved ones, who helped choose the images will soon see them spray-painted onto the side of the Pyramid Arts Centre.

About a dozen children from Wired Young Carers gave illustrator Will Barras ideas on what they would like to see featured on a huge mural.

The illustrator begins work on the project this week and the young carers are being invited to help out.

The work of art was recently granted planning permission and received the backing of the town’s civic society.
