Three arrested for affray following town centre fight

THREE men were arrested for affray during the early hours of this morning following an outbreak of fighting between numerous males on Friar’s Gate on another busy night for Warrington police.

The fighting broke out at 2.05 am. Three males were arrested for affray and one of them made matters a bit more complicated by allegedly assaulting custody staff.

In another incident at 23.35 a female was arrested for an alleged assault on door staff at a town centre pub on Horsemarket Street. It is alleged that she spat in the face of a member of staff.

Approximately an hour later a male was arrested outside a bar on Barbauld Street for Public Order Offences.

At 0330 a male was arrested for Breach of Dispersal Notice. He was issued this earlier when he was alleged to have been found urinating in the street.

At 0405 in the Longford area, PC McGann arrested a male for an allegation of Criminal Damage and Threatening Behaviour. It is also alleged that he assaulted an officer during this.

At 0555, PC Roberts arrested a male on Academy Way after it was alleged that he has assaulted a taxi marshall.

All of the above are currently in North Cheshire Custody.
