VIDEO: ONE year on from the tragic death of his teenage daughter Adrian Derbyshire is continuing with his anti-hate and anti-bullying campaigns.

This week marks the first anniversary of Julia’s death and although somber Adrian and his volunteers, who were out and about in Warrington’s Golden Square at the weekend, will keep campaigning in her memory.

In the past 18 months Adrian has reached out to around 195,000 young people with his anti-hate and anti-bullying #SASSY campaigns.

Julia was a big part of Adrian’s anti-bullying and hate crime campaign. She often travelled with him to spread the message and helping to save young lives before tragically taking her own life last October. Adrian found his daughter collapsed at home and she died five days later in hospital.

His campaign, under the hashtag #SASSY (Support Against Self-harm and Suicide in Youth), is dedicated to her memory and his drive to try to ensure other young people don’t take their lives.

On October 15th his last outreach campaign of the year will take place in Warrington’s Golden Square, although Adrian is looking forward to “hitting it hard again” in January next year.
