Vandalised phone box is an eyesore

IF BT has no intention of repairing  a vandalised telephone box in Newchurch Lane, Culcheth it should be removed as soon as possible.
That’s the view of Culcheth and Glazebury councillor Keith Bland.
He said the phone box had become an eyesore after being left vandalised and out of order for more than six months.
As a result, residents had approached the local Conservative “Look of our Villages” campaign team with a request for urgent action.
Cllr Bland said: “I went to look for myself and was astonished to find that despite this damage being reported some months ago, nothing had been done.
“I am contacting BT to request that if they have no intention of repairing and looking after this phone box, they should remove this eyesore as soon as possible.
“I will continue to monitor the situation and any response from BT and will keep residents informed.”
