POLICE spent a night visiting licensed premises in Warrington – in company with police dog Rufus.
The operation involved numerous officers and was in response to concern over the use of drugs in pubs and clubs.
As a result of Rufus’s keen nose, a number of people are to be interviewed voluntarily.
In a separate incident, a PCSO at Great Sankey discovered a teenage girl in a drunken condition and suffering from hypothermia.
As a result of her condition, she was taken to A&E at Warrington Hospital for treatment.
