AN open day to highlight the support offered to people recovering from drug and alcohol addiction is to be held at Warrington.
The event is being held by the town’s Pathways to Recovery team to mark “Recovery Month” and will be at the newly refurbished Dallam Hub on Friday, September 23 between 1.30pm and 4.30pm.
The Pathways team will be offering taster sessions of some of the activities they deliver and residents are being invited to join in.
Cllr Pat Wright (pictured), the borough council’s lead member for statutory health and adult social care will be at the event to welcome guests.
She said: “Pathways to Recovery takes alcohol and drug treatment out into the heart of the Warrington community, with Dallam Hub being the latest to benefit.
“As well as treating those suffering from alcohol and drug dependency, Pathways also provides education and prevention advice. They work in partnership with service users and their communities to help them choose the most effective pathways to improving their health and wellbeing and offer a range of services including screening, alcohol detox and recovery group work programmes.”
Dallam Hub is in Harrison Square, Dallam.
