Graduates support session is just the job

GRADUATES looking to break into the jobs market in Warrington are being offered a helping hand.

The council’s south area team is holding a special class for young people, fresh out of university, who are chasing their first job and are seeking support, help, tips and guidance.

The session, at St Werburgh’s Community Hub on 20 September, is being delivered by the Warrington Graduates Network, a group run by dedicated volunteers who help young people to find their way into employment and launch their careers.

Graduates will be able to learn about the skills needed to find that all important first job, exploring what makes a great CV and what makes a cover letter stand out from the crowd.

The session will look at common interview questions and answers and how to be fully prepared. There will also be the chance to explore networking, LinkedIn and other social media that can be used to a jobseekers’ advantage.

The Graduate Network’s ‘CVs and interviews class’ takes place on Tuesday 20 September, 10am to 12 noon at St Werburgh’s Community Hub, Boswell Avenue, WA4 6DQ.
