A 26-year-old man has died at the Creamfields festival at Daresbury near Warrington.
Police say the man from Cornwall died at the campsite area of the festival.
No further details are available at this stage and a post-mortem examination is underway to establish the cause of death.
Meanwhile a total of 28 arrests were made within the first 24 hours of the festival starting, many of them drug related.
