TRAFFIC came to a standstill on Bridge Foot following police concerns for a young man sat on a railway bridge.

The man is believed to have run off following a stop and search incident at the Brian Bevan traffic island on Wilderspool Causeway, Warrington.

Police successfully talked the man down after about an hour. The road has now been re-opened

  1. I dont feel it is right to publish a photo of this young man who is obviously in distress. His family may not be aware and have the shock of seeing this photo

  2. Well having run away from a police stop and search then he would be in distress, especially at the thought of spending time in police custody. Second time in two days that bridge foot has been closed by such incidents.
