Four in custody after car chase with police

FOUR men are in custody this morning following a car chase with police which started in Warrington and ended in the Eccles area of Manchester.
The men face allegation of failing to stop and unauthorised taking of a motor vehicle.
It was also discovered that one of the four was wanted by the Royal Military Police for being absent without leave from the Army.
During the chase, it is alleged that a police car was struck by the vehicle carrying the suspects as the pursuit crossed over the border between Cheshire and Greater Manchester.
The pursuit was eventually brought to an end by the use of a “stinger.
