Enjoy a taste of the Orient – for Mayor’s charities

THE Mayor of Warrington is inviting local people to enjoy a taste of the Orient – and help him raise as much money as possible for his charities.
A special charity evening, sponsored and hosted by one of the Mayor’s 12 business Circle partners, Wasabi Teppan-Yaki restaurant, takes place on  September 18.
Those who snap up a ticket for the event will be able to join the Mayor, Cllr Faisal Rashid, at the restaurant, where they can sample a range of Japanese dishes, all freshly cooked in front of them by the skilled chefs.
All funds raised at the event will be donated to the Mayor’s charity appeal.
Cllr Rashid said: “There have already been a number of fantastic charity events during my time as Mayor, and this is set to be another unforgettable evening. As well as great food, there will be live entertainment, raffle prizes and more – it’s a night not to be missed.
“The support of the kind-hearted people of Warrington has helped me raise thousands of pounds for my four chosen charities in a short space of time. However, we want to raise much more for Warrington people who are in need and who are supported by these charities.
“If you enjoy good food and would like to play your part in helping change the lives of local people, then this is the perfect event for you.”
The Mayor’s chosen charities for 2016-17 are the Warrington Disability Partnership; the Tim Parry Jonathan Ball Foundation for Peace; Brainwave and St Rocco’s Hospice.
Tickets for the dinner are £20 each and are selling fast. Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
