A dream has come true for Warrington Wolves’ vice chairman Stuart Middleton, who has been given the honour of leading the team out at Wembley.

Stuart, a local lad and lifelong fan says he is “thrilled” at being given the honour of leading the team out in the Challenge Cup final against Hull FC on August 27.

Club owner Simon Moran, who has led the team out himself on two previous occasions gave Stuart the news at a recent board meeting as a thankyou for his investment in the club since joining the board as a non-executive director in May last year.

He was appointed vice chairman in December last year after making a huge difference in terms of investment and advice.

Stuart, a successful businessman and majority shareholder in the Card Factory, said: “I am thrilled to be given the honour of leading the team out at Wembley. It is something I have dreamed of since being a school boy.”
