Pensioner assaulted in alleged road rage incident

A MAN has been charged with assaulting a pensioner following an alleged road rage incident at Lymm.
The 47-year-old is to appear before magistrates on August 30.
Police said they received a report on Tuesday evening of a 70-year-old man being victim of a road rage incident at Lymm.
It was alleged that following an altercation with another motorist in Altrincham, the victim was followed to his home address in the Broomedge area of Lymm.
He was assaulted outside his home and subsequently taken to Wythenshawe Hospital to be treated for serious facial injuries.
Following a police investigation, the suspect was arrested and later charged with assault.
