Police warning as thefts from cars increase

POLICE at Warrington have warned motorists to ensure they leave their vehicles secure overnight.
The arrival of hot weather has led to an increase in the number of motorists who drive with an open window – and frequently forget to close them when they leave the vehicle.
An increase in the number of thefts from unlocked vehicles in the Woolston and Poulton South areas has prompted police to issue the warning.
