Bid to trace burglar who threatened woman with knife

POLICE have issued an e-fit to help trace man for aggravated burglary in Warrington when a woman was threatened with a knife.

The man, believed to be in his early 20s, entered a house through an open rear door on Blenheim Close, Padgate, between 2-2.30am on Saturday 11 June 2016.

Once in the house he threatened the woman with a knife and demanded money. When she handed the money to him, he left through the open back door.

The offender has been described as white, around 5”6 in height, of a slim build, with light brown hair combed forward and dark bushy eyebrows, which joined in the middle. He was wearing a black zip up hoody and jogging bottoms.

DC Alison McLoughlin, of Warrington Response Team, said: “I would appeal to anyone who may have been around the Blenheim Close or Handley Drive area or the surrounding areas at the time of the incident and may have seen someone acting suspiciously.

“If anyone has any information, they should contact Cheshire Police on 101 quoting the incident number 832 of 11 June.

“Information can also be passed on anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
