Warrington builder celebrates success in Pride in the Job Awards

MILLER Homes has once again proved its commitment to excellence as 12 of its site mangers received Quality Awards in the 2016 NHBC Pride in the Job Awards.

Dedicated to recognising and rewarding outstanding site managers, the Awards, which are in their 36th year, are the UK house-building industry’s most prestigious honours.

Mark Atherton from Miller Homes’ Barley Green development, located in Warrington, was named as one of the North West’s regional winners of the Quality Award at the NHBC Pride in the Job Awards event last week.

With open farmland to the north and west, a major retail and leisure park less than a mile away and the national motorway network within a few minutes, Barley Green is a neighbourhood with a wealth of advantages.

Site managers are judged on a number of criteria including consistency of high standards, leadership, technical expertise, interpretation, health and safety and ‘the X factor’ – something special which sets the site manager apart.

Chris Endsor, Chief Executive of Miller Homes, said: “We are extremely proud of our award winning site managers.

“The Pride in the Job Awards are highly respected within the industry and this acknowledgement of our winning site managers’ commitment and dedication to ensuring our homes are built safely and to the highest standards is a tremendous accolade for each of them as well as for the wider business.”

Mark commented: “The NHBC awards are like our version of the Oscars and it is a real honour to have been recognised in this way.

“Everyone at Miller Homes works hard to deliver safe and high quality workmanship throughout the build and are proud of the homes we create.”

Later on this year the winners of a Quality Award are given the opportunity to compete for a more coveted NHBC Seal of Excellence Award.
