WARRINGTON Town have signed former AFC Telford United left winger Sean Clancy as the club continues to strengthen their squad for the forthcoming season after winning promotion to the Evo-Stik Premier Division.
Clancy, aged 28, who can also play left back, joined AFC Telford United, on the same day as his former Southport boss Liam Watson joined the club.
He made 129 appearances at Telford, winning promotion to the national conference in 2014.
He is the brother of model Abbey Clancy, who is married to fellow footballer Peter Crouch.
Warrington Chairman Toby Macormac said: “I am certain with his experience at a higher level Sean will be a great addition to our squad and provide us with added strength on the left side of the team.
“We have set our sights on making the play-offs and with his experience at Fleetwood, Halifax and Chester Sean will bring the quality we need to hopefully achieve that.”
Meanwhile the club has parted company with winger Scott Metcalfe who has agreed terms with Ashton United.
“Scott has been a great club servant at Warrington and we wish him well for the future,” added Macormac.
